Honestly, identity doesn't matter to me. Only behavior. The "identity" is obvious when they use the same user ID, and rude behavior, as they did on another forum. However, even if they change their ID, the lack of social skills precede them.

The banner was back for a few days, but they had still linked it to their older announcement rather than the one from 11 May - which still doesn’t reveal much except there’s no mention of the archive/shutdown process or progress.

The fact that DPR is still around likely means the closure date was just a deadline to obtain some concessions from whoever will be taking over. Final agreement in the works when reading between lines of their recent closure update. DPR is not going away. I will continue to peruse content but have in essence deleted my 15 year old account at DPR. (Deleted password out of disgust for their sudden heavy handed moderation and deletion of posts that violated no policy, I had never updated email address on retirement a couple years back and no longer have access to that hospital email account for recovery email should I ever change my stance!). I do find I am spending far less time and decreased activity on any forum.
I will continue DPRevived registration.
P.S. If you guys are the ones taking over I might look into restoring access!

Mostly focus, shake and shutter shock issues. There are many more issues in there, but given the timespan and reliability/repeatability of the gear/test, I can mostly forgive them that.

Among other things, lens changing, focus changing, light changing, shots aligned by eye, uncontrolled reflections, uncontrolled flare, sub-optimal light sources, photos fading, no info on SPD, no spectral data of the target, no flat field.
