That's neat to see the children get decorated at the mall. I'm glad you got a chance to take them with your phone. I haven't had to do that yet with my phone, as I often take my cameras with me. But having the cell phone as a backup has occurred to me to be an option.

I never thought about the clocks changing in other countries before recently. Last night we were sitting around the table, talking about when to expect a call from my sister in California.
That's a beautiful autumn scene mocha, great photo.

It looks like freezing weather has hit you hard already. We also had some freezing temperatures, but it was only about 31 degrees F. last night. The rooftops are frosty too. The leaves are still colorful and not as brown.

The trip exceeded my expectations. The accommodation, food, guides, sights and people in general were all amazing.
We did 7 morning/afternoon guided safaris, 4 in a private reserve which was part of Kruger in an open vehicle where we could go right to to the animals and 3 in Kruger national Park where you had to stay on the roads.
We saw a range of animals (giraffes and elephants most commonly) and some that we missed we saw in the wild outside of the national Park (hippos, a crocodile and ostriches).
We stayed in Johannesburg for a couple of nights and visited Soweto, then in Cape Town and some satellite towns from there where we visited a bird sanctuary, an elephant sanctuary, a penguin colony and did a whale watching trip. So it was a pretty comprehensive and very much always on the go. Tiring but a lot of fun.

This week 'now' we're seeing lots of rain so difficult to get out plus we have Storm Ciarán heading our way (Wednesday and Thursday) with reported winds of up to 90mph although up here in the North its not supposed to be as bad. I don't think I'll see any butterflies this week. 😀

Nearly all animal, bird, insect photos, I use partial for that reason. When I'm taking the all white Egrets (Little Egrets) in dark surroundings such as a harbour and using evaluative metering the Egret will have no detail in its feathers because of evaluative brightening up the background, this can lead to a +2 stop over exposure and consequently a bird with no detail.
I deal with those dark backgrounds in Lightroom/Photoshop.

Super and fun set, I can see the ISO's were very challenging, still these modern Cameras deal so well with high ISO's and thankfully we have software that gives my ageing 7D mkII a new lease of life in that department too.

Thanks. I don't know what the DxO ISO scores would be for the Canon M50 MKII (as it's not available), but it does so much better than my older Canon T2i (550D) and T3i (600D) cameras. I was looking at the Canon RP; it's older technology than the Canon R8, but the DxO scores are nearly the same, except the R8 is slightly better. I can't wait to use a full frame camera some day so I can compare them in detail. But the Canon M50 MKII is sufficient in most low light situations I'm faced with.
