Hi all,

As Dunlin showed earlier the state of the UK weather. Here's this mornings photo as I walked alongside a stream. Overnight must of been torrential, I could only walk so far along the path.

I liked seeing some of your scenes. It may be ordinary for you, but it can be interesting for us that live so far away.

Yes, I also found a dead fish on Bateman Island, Washington a few weeks back and took its photograph. It was a salmon.

I liked seeing the red flowers. Canon has done better with the color red over the years (as least I think so...but could be mistaken).

Enjoy the rain. It's hard sometimes and I don't like doing it when it's cold, but taking pictures in the rain (with protective gear or an umbrella) can be rewarding.

I liked seeing the rain drops on the plant. When it's raining and we are protected, that's the time to push the shutter button. 😀

I was in Cornwall with family. We've been visiting Cornwall for quite a few years, but somehow we always end up in St. Ives anyway. I don't think we truly mind.

Every time you mention that I think "what a great idea". And of course, I forget about it by the next time it rains.
I'm slightly overprotective of my little mirrorless, relatively speaking (compared to the 7D).
Looks like I might get a chance on Saturday.

I think this could be what's called a "Spitzwegerich" in German, and "Ribwort plantain" in English:

I tend to agree with you. Reds really seem to pop in these Canon cameras.

Is it really camera/brand-specific? I always thought it was way more dependend on the lens... but that might be more of a thing with my old manual lenses. I don't have a lot of SOOC shots online, but here's one I thought had pretty good reds:
