I broke the notoriously weak plastic bottom plate of my Olympus E-M5-III.....
Would someone know how I could buy one? I can replace it myself if I get the part.

Oh dear, another one. Someone was saying the other day about Oly parts from aliexpress. Might be worth a look. I buy a lot from there and have had no issues ...... so far. One item didn't arrive and they just refunded me. So I'm happy to use them.

Please describe how you broke it. Was it on a tripod, a strap connector, a Capture Clip, dropped on the ground, used to hammer nails, looked at intensely, etc.? A little more information would be helpful to people who want to avoid such damage. What did you do to try to prevent the known liability?

Dropped it by accident from a height of 1 foot. It was enough to break the corner of the bottom plate.
Avoiding using the camera on tripod with a heavy lens was not good enough.

That's discouraging, sounds like an eggshell. Thanks for the explanation. I hope you can find a solution that doesn't cost a fortune. Is it still fully functional?
