Nice shot, beautiful light and colors, I like the contrast between the boat and the tank on the right. A wider angle could have caught the full reflection of the boat in the water

Thank you Bob,
The eyes are very important in a portrait. I brighten then a tiny bit to help them stand out. The owl dose the rest.
It's great that your vision is so much better.

Weather was perfect and we had a little time, so we got the little, much modified, hotrod two-seater out of the barn and dusted her off for a Sunday afternoon ride.
Somehow, we ended-up exploring the site of an old coal-fired electric generating plant instead of the usual pretty rural places we go. Nancy in the car down by the site:
A small part of the massive old plant - abandoned in 2015 and just slowly crumbling. Seems like there should be something one could do with all of that infrastructure.
Being at this vast facility, all silent with no one around was a very odd experience. It felt like we were in Chernobyl or something....
All are good and I love the third. HDR Grunge processing style?

Two little owls
The great horned owlets I've been following left there nest two days ago. These are some of the last photos I took of them on the nest.

Lovely work, Morris. Makes me miss my owling outings that much more.

Owls are such a unique bird. I remember when I first starting hanging around the FujiX forum on DPR after I got my Pro2 in 2016, Jerry was the "owl guy." So Jerry when you going to go back out a chase owls? 🤠
Do you like lichens ?
C & C appreciated
I think I mentioned you may want to Like Lichens with a Leica! 😁 Or maybe I shouldn't say that on a Fuji forum.

I like the color palette in this one quite a lot. The wood/brown tone is just about perfectly rendered. Which simulation were you using?
This old tree. Captured this weekend. I quite liked the different patterns. C&C welcome. Apple photos with Pixelmator Pro extension. Some contrast, highlight and shadow adjustments.

Very nice, Matt. I have similar captures from over the years. The photographer's eye sees things most don't. Thanks for posting.

Thank you. I walked around a few times trying to find a wider angle, before realizing the closer in shot would be more interesting.

Nice. As I responded to one of your earlier image posts, I'm going to need to go there since it is not too far by car..... about 40 minutes.

Thanks. I mainly shoot with the 35mm so this was as far back I could get for this particular shot.

Don't forget bug spray! The bugs were out in full force when I went. I think I saw a coyote roaming around the trail but I wasn't able to get a good look. I turned around and went the other way lol. I live about the same distance. San Jacinto is a place I've never been to that I want to visit. Looks similar to San Joaquin.
Thanks. It's this one: fujixweekly.com/2020/07/27/fujifilm-x100v-film-simulation-recipe-fujicolor-superia-800/
