Love the capture, the colours, the curve and water, but...(and I hate to mention it) the movement of trees on lhs. Is it due to operator or camera or environment? It's slightly hard to accept, otherwise excellent shot, particularly in the view of the fact that it is showing us beauty of autumn.

Somehow, someway this version appeals to me most due to great drama in the sky against far away mountains as a background. The small ribbon of rainbow is just a bonus which adds more interest.

Viral Notice
Yesterday, I read that the increase in the number of people going sick with Covid was rising sharply. So too, those suffering from colds. It's not another pandemic, not even anything abnormal, but Covid has now joined the other viral infections, which arrive with the cold weather every year.
It was enough for me to remember these notices I photographed during one of the lulls between lock-downs three and a half years ago. They are just documentary photos, but at least they show there was also a light side to the more obvious horror going on at the time.

I feel like this image doesn't benefit from all the saturation. I'd tone down the bright yellow and green tones a little bit.
That being said, I find the composition very interesting, because of how unusal it is. There's lots of possibilities to play around with it due to the wonderful range of colors and patterns.

Wonderful shot and a great capture of this interesting statue (it reminds me of the film "The Fountain"...). I agree with Roel's suggestion of cropping it from below. Excellent work!

The color contrast is excellent. I like the composition as well! I'll keep telling myself that living in an environment like this is an unfair advantage, in order to not having to admit, that my skills for landscape compositions would have to be improved drastically still... 😅 Well done! Fall is beautiful for sure, when it's not rainy and grey...

At first I agreed with your suggestion and Roel regarding cropping out the rail. But I've changed my mind. Now, I'd slightly tilt the shot anticlockwise to get rid of the sliver, bottom left and get the horizon and rail level, but that's all. I like the repetition of the rail line with the horizon and the lower cloud bands. To me, they visually step the eye into the scene. If the rail was lost, the shape of the lower part of the sculpture would be lost and it would resemble an inverted wine glass rather than a globe. I prefer the globe.
The shot took quite a bit of messing around to set up. I wanted the line up I have between the trees and the trunk of the sculpture. Then I wanted the angle of the sculpture trunk to give some details so it could be seen to be figures. This wasn't completely possible, so I gave the suggestion in the post re looking closer at this area.
I'd have liked the base of the sculpture to be seen as a complete sphere but this wasn't possible without including too much distracting detail in the lower area.

Agree with all that. I'm in two minds about the angle. The boat looks exactly right. However, the horizon looks slightly tilted. If the horizon was level, the boat angle wouldn't be as pleasing.
Responding at the moment is difficult. I'm in an airport and the wi fi is fluctuating. Maybe the levels are right? -
It's the kind of picture I'd expect as a backdrop in a sci fi puppet film.
The good guys have touched down on an alien world.. The spikes and colour and multiple suns tell us we are no longer in Kansas. Somethin nasy will shortly appear over them thar hills. -

A very satisfying image. It's deceptively simple. Apart from saying "it's beautiful, which it is, I'm pondering just why it works so well. I'll get back to this.

I like Chris's choice of words here... "admire." Maybe "brave" ? The central water lilies and reflection seen against their black background are simple and with lots of impact. I'd have enjoyed the shot this way with plenty of black space above and a little below. The reflections at the top are a whole new ballgame. They kind of overpower the subject with size and strength. But I can see that this might also be the point. I'm undecided but it's certainly interesting. I'll be interested in the thoughts from others.

The kind of scene panorama was made for. The wider view promotes the left-right sweep that shows the glory of the scale and light. The small area of blue sky on the very right of the panorama is important in adding cloud detail and contrast. The small island on the right with some lighter sky behind it adds interest. As you say, definitely worth viewing on the link you have given.
