Today with your Pentax

I set the JPG profile in the camera to BW and shot RAW+JPG today. I've actually been shooting RAW+JPG for a while now and deleting 99% of the jpgs as the RAW files are so much richer, but I wanted to give the shots today a chance. I chose color versions for posting here, but the BW are available on my Flickr.

Thanks @JCDoss. The 200 macro is quite a lens. Took me forever to find one. A Pentaxian in Taiwan knew I wanted one. He helped by translating with a Chinese friend that was selling his.

Pentax K-1 with Pentax A series 200 macro. ISO 400, F16 at 1/25. I was going to shoot a cool snail, but he disappeared before the lens acclimated to the high humidity. Shot this off the deck. Couldn't get as close as wanted, so this is cropped.

Like the composition of the second image a lot. B&W looks great. Well done. The 85 renders beautifully. Still regret passing on it years ago at the special price. Sigh.

The A85 is one of my all time favorites. You should bite the bullet and get one too... It would be a great partner for your A200 Macro.

I broke with protocol today, and took only one camera with two lenses. Then I only used one lens. We went to the weekly free concert in the city center and I got a few shots. I couldn't get back far enough because the crowd was there. The name of this band is Beatify, and they played a mix of pop and rock from the 80s to I assume present day, since some tunes I didn't recognize.

Excellent captures with impressive colors. Both of those shots would be a great additions for the respective "A colored thread: RED / PINK" topics, if you‘ve seen those - perhaps you want to share them there as well!

I was feeling pekid yesterday, so my K-1 mIIs got the day off. I was back at it today, however, and I have a couple of in-camera generated jpgs for you. It was almost like shooting with the K-3III Monochrome, or so I can imagine.
