Yes the moon has been amazing over the last couple of nights. The horse adds extra interest here.

Must take some new pictures, must take some new pictures...

But you have two pictures in one, with this one.

Maybe you need a holiday to somewhere interesting.

I would love a holiday but have a couple of health issues holding me back.

Found this gent sharpening his football skills along an otherwise deserted beach (because a ton of seaweed had washed ashore).

Barbados... very nice pictures and I like trains! And rum. That's cool. :-)

Well, it was a quiet New Year's Eve, but I'd had a glass (or two) of wine and turned-up the music in the garage. For some reason, I decided to get the camera and the tripod, so here's a pic of the garage (with party lights) - although you can't hear the music. Then I went into the house and took a picture of the Christmas tree. Too much wine! But still, "through my eyes" -- I suppose! I need to finish the recap work on the CR-2020 and the KR-7600 (get them off the workbench). And dust the cobwebs off the ceiling. Pictures come in handy for these purposes. :-)

An amazing garage. Mine is full of motorbikes (OK, 2 of them) and other clutter.

    Another Supermoon

    Just got home from our New Year trip to visit family and friends. A couple of frosty walks and an amazing moonrise;

Finally, I got out and did some photography! I added some more pictures to my Romanesque project. I had seen the abbey Castione Marchesi before on a special open day, as it was always closed. It is pretty impossible to take good people free shots on these tours.

It is now open every day. So I managed to do things properly with a tripod and my shift lenses. The wide shots are all HDR composites.

A nice set, especially these twilight shots. Good to see you out and about with camera.

These two work well. I might crop the top one to lose the building on the left and the foreground bushes on the right.

Wish my garage was more like that than just the pile of boxes and junk that's there at the moment!

This photo caught my eye, the colour change from yellow on left to white on right, is it due different light sources?

I had holiday trip to Livigno for some snowboarding, right now on my return trip. Didn't bring my camera but took some tourist snapshots with phone.

    20260101_000837.jpg

    20251231_110219.jpg

Phone cameras are getting incredibly good for most purposes.

Why is everybody standing on the tables?

The last shot is very nice.

    Hope you enjoyed the food.

Phone camera quality is OK for web and phone screen, but handling is nothing compared to proper camera. And it's quite hard to compose shot on sunny snowy day, not much is seen on screen.
People dance on tables. This was not best shot probably to convey it, but the metal construction on background is on stage where DJ is located, there are also singers and dancers (one is seen in the middle with pink jacket) to keep spirit up. And the rightmost table is for dancing, there is part of stairs to the tabletop visible on right side. People having fun...
The frosty image is not the one I'd wanted, but it was hard to get good shot, as it was taken from gondola and one has to keep eye on reflections from glass, downward moving condolas and posts, so not much time to frame.
