I know it's not the theme of the photo but I like the green paint against that rich, red brickwork.

The downside of using a phone is one generally has to hold it up to the face so is not as discreet as a waist-level shot with a camera.
Were you out protesting too?
;-)
I dunno, I think the hair on its head is looking pretty sharp. Nice capture.
No, I would loved to have joined them. But, I haven't the faintest idea of what they were protesting against.
I did protest loudly, this morning when the Hospital told me they had no slots for a check up I have to have, until August 2025. After enquiring if I was now living in Zimbabwe rather than Italy. I asked about the Hospitals private scheme. I got an appointment for Monday. Same Doctors. Same State run Hospital.

I prefer the old brick buildings at the base. The stipes, almost hurt my eyes.
I guess animals can have bad hair days too...
You have caught a nice dynamic pose, with this shot.
I immagine they had an icy swim.

I also like green versus wood:

I am in the photographic doldrums at the moment. These two are variants of pictures I posted late in the week, a couple of weeks ago. For screen use, my iPhone produces shots that can be cropped quite viciously.

Damn. I found Italian health care to be excellent when I have needed it.

OK, not on quite as grand a scale though...

Sorry I missed the size criterion.
Mono or colour?
Definitely colour.
Uptown Shanghai. View from a pedestrian bridge crossing.
I rather like the colour casts in this, whether or not deliberate.

That's a very effective eye/brain puzzle. Not entirely sure I like it! But the juxtaposition with the older brick buildings is great.

It is, but we are starting to have problems with waiting lists for non critical problems in hospital. Health service "private" is quite cheap, €120 for some audiometric tests, so once you get an appointment all is still good.

What a lovely set of well worn buildings. The light was on your side as well.

Love that first shot. Sharp too. So much character in that cottage.
