Fuji X-T3 you have been good to me...

Something has changed. I can no longer edit the subject to title my post more appropriately. It appears to me that no one else is doing that either.

There is significant news for me. First and foremost, after four wonderful years with my two Fuji X-T3s, I BOUGHT TWO NEW CAMERAS! 😁

I am now the owner of two Fuji X-H2s.

    This shot is perfectly framed.

Have fun with the new toys.

Optical quality, colour reproduction and sharpness always wins (that's where Leica leads).
    Excellent.

    The Baltic sea
Not sure why, but I always thought that the seas around the world had more or less the same "saltiness". Except the dead Sea of course, which everyone knows is a lot saltier. Well here's the thing,... East beach on the North sea, where I grew up in Essex, is 12x saltier than the Baltic sea here. I tasted it just to make sure :-)

While on holiday in Poland, we walked about 9km along this beautiful long wide beach with soft white sand :-)

Looks like a wonderfully deserted coastline. I enjoyed this stroll along the beach.

    Nice tranquility.
Quite opposite what's going on here right now: strong wind, thousands houses without electricity and near sea warning for water level rising over meter from normal is given. So looking at this image is like dreaming of better place.

You should give camera to wife, she has good eye 😁 I like this image as well.
I know from first-hand experience that Baltic sea is not so salty, basically it's big lake with only connection to ocean through Danish straights. But I did not know that the difference is so big. You can find quite few such sandy beaches along coast line in Baltic countries as well, going for miles and with very few people around.

Reflections always appeal to my photographic senses. This is a nice shot of Italy, I'm sure you're looking forward to going back there soon.
The shot works as it is, but it would also be posible to chop off a little from top and bottom, just keeping the thin cloud. It woul make the interesting details in the land and reflection just a bit bigger.

It's a fair point and I did consider it but I had a hangover this morning and I confess to being too lazy earlier.

Veyr nice sandpipers and surf shot. 👍

Yep, I can totally see that. It wouldn't look out of place in a Pixar movie, where you'd half expect it to wake up, stretch, make a squeaky little yawn, then wander off.

A Return To Great Mell Fell

Last Sunday, with the forecasts promising "fog" for most of the day, I packed my gear and braced myself for the 80 mile drive North along the M6 to Great Mell Fell for some moody woodland photography.

I like the 8th tree shot and the 3rd Out in the Open shot. I'm not a fan of the bleached effect for landscapes if I'm honest. But I do use bleached bypass for some urban shots.

That's fair and I must admit, it's not something I'd normally go for either, I was never a fan when this look became a trend in movies some years back. But in these instances, with the harsh light, I think it worked better than the default profile did. These screencaps from Capture one show a couple of the images rendered with the normal Provia profile alongside the Bleach Bypass one.
