    Delta boat trip
We got VIP treatment on a boat trip around the lakes and marshlands at the delta of the river Åšwina in a National park in Poland a few days ago.
Cost double price because no one else turned up but then it was just us three, on a boat big enough for 25.
A nice chance to chat with the captain.
The photos need some editing, these are just done quick on an iPad.

    Vigolo Marchese and Castell'Arquato

Some more architecture from my Romanesque project. These two places, near Piacenza are about five kilometres apart. They have been on my list for some time. I had two very different shooting experiences.

That baptistry is just so pretty. And captured in nice golden light.

I have come back to this shot a couple of times as the Exif data seems at odds with the picture.
Well, it wasn't a night shot, just some PS jiggery-pokery.

Youk have made good use of whatever you did to produce an intriguing low key shot, with that mysterious central tower block

Been on a little bit of a roll this week. It's that time of the year, weathers getting warmer, more people getting out & about

Something about the light in the second makes it a winner.

There's a few of these around lately. I like the light on her and I like the shot but I think you may have dragged down the flames a little too much.

    Sunset at Brinscall Woods

Earlier in the week I took an evening walk into the nearby woods in Brinscall. My intention was to have a wander around some of the old farm ruins that may be found there, then head up to a specific spot overlooking Heapey Moor for sunset if conditions were looking good, but first, I foolishly decided to have a quick look around Hatch Brook to see if there were any interesting tree studies to be found.

These are all taken with the GFX100S and 35-70, mounted on a tripod and rocking a CPL to reduce glare on the foliage (the sunset shots were taken without the CPL). All processed from single raw files in Capture One Pro 23.

always enjoy your posts and explanations.

Return To Great Mell Fell - A Preview

The forecast for Great Mell Fell today was fog, all the way through the morning and into the afternoon. So I drive the 80 miles up to The Lakes for a day of moody woodland photography and then this is how it turns out. Complete disaster!

    DSCF3905 1.jpg

    DSCF3919.jpg

I've still managed to take about 200 shots with the GFX (so that's another 25GB of my NAS gone!) so I've yet to go through them properly, so these are just a few promising looking images that I've had a quick play with. I'm sure there'll be more to follow when I've had some proper time to go through them (there are plenty of woodland ones too, that might not have been ruined by the harsh sunlight).
