Thank you :) yes the last one of the bee was handheld. One of the first times I've tried the 70-300CX on the J5 instead of the V3 (usually much prefer having the viewfinder when using that lens) It's a little trickier to handle on the J5 but I'm definitely going to try again :)

I just picked up last week a V2 in Excellent condition (it looks brand new) and took it out today with the 30mm-110mm lens. I just sat on a hill and took some photos of a soccer game, using the 15 fps burst mode. The other photo is a Killdeer showing me her "broken wing." I am very impressed with the capabilities of this little camera. It has some great features for capturing fast action and it's very small.

Can you shoot flowers with a V2 and a 200-500? Of course you can but it's not the handiest rig for that but you do get a great subject to camera distance! 😉

Indeed. For me that is definitely a tripod combo - the angle of view at max 500mm on the lens makes it very difficult to get the subject in the frame. I used my big tripod with a Really Right Stuff BH-55 ball head and a Sidekick for a gimbal setup when shooting birds with a big lens. But it doesn't work well with the 200-500 on a V body because it is so front heavy and I couldn't find a quick release plate long enough. So I took the Sidekick off and have tried using the V2 and 200-500 with just the BH-55 ball head. That's also a problem since the heavy lens wants to flop sideways when I loosen the ball. So I', now looking at the heavy duty heads designed got monopods that only tilt in one plane.
