...goes to show you how imagination and initiative can make things happen. I hope this site becomes quite successful. Obviously, it's in its earliest stages, but as time goes on, I hope that we get the options to include things like background colors. For example, over at DPReview, I used the black background (easier to view), instead of the bright white. In addition, being able to upload an image directly from a PC to this site (like DPReview) would be ideal because right now, this site only allows images to be linked from other sites. For those of us who don't upload our images to other sites, this becomes inconvenient.

I originally joined DPReview 21 years ago in 2002 - and have had countless postings over there. And although recently, have not been active over there, it was still a shocker to hear of its demise. So this news is refreshing...

Again - this new site is wonderful, and I hope that it grows and achieves the photographic clout that DPReview once had. A hearty "well done" to that person (or those folks) who made this site a reality.

You can upload images attached to your posts here. It’s in the toolbar when creating or editing a post, the button with an arrow pointing upwards (on smaller screens such as mobile you may need to click the button with three dots first).

After uploading, the images show as attached at the bottom of your post, you can insert them into your post by clicking the button beside each attached file, of two overlapping squares.

There is currently a 4 megabyte limit per file, this may be increased once a planned migration to new infrastructure happens.

It is possible to upload images directly to this site. See dprevived.com/t/how-to-upload-your-own-pictures-to-this-site/2039

Welcome Ben, good to see you here.

As others have said, you can upload photos here. I've also written some "how-to's" here dprevived.com/c/how-to-do-things-on-this-site/156/ which may help.
