I see Thom Hogan is working on a modified firmware for the Nikon Z9.

Updating my camera firmware is always a time of tension and fear of bricking the camera. Updating my firmare with a third party add on to the camera companies software, leaves me a little perplexed. Especially as it relies on cracking Nikon's software.

I'm sure there was a freeware project to update some of Canon's firmware at some point. I remember trying it our once and, while it worked, at the time I didn't need any of the extras so I flashed the next real Canon one back again.

I must admit it was very well done and I fell for it.
