The Sigma 40 Art - anybody replaced 35 & 50? Any regrets?

I've always felt more at home with 50mm versus 35mm, and for the last few years I've been very happy with the performance of my 50 Art, but I still have fond memories of the Tamron 45 I had before it. I really felt that slightly oddball FL suited me very well, but I wanted 1.4, and faster AF, which of course the 50 Art delivers.

I do also have a 35mm prime (Canon EF 35 f/2 IS USM) which I enjoy using from time to time but I often find 35mm just a little too wide for my taste, and of course it doesn't have the fast aperture and rendering of the 50 Art.

For owners of the 40 Art, how do you find that 40mm focal length? Is it really a viable replacement for both 35 and 50 for you?

    For me, it's replaced both.
