I think you meant to type any post.
I'd not normally point out typos like this, but it has given me a chance to try out a great feature I've not seen in other forums :)

Thank you, Bob, for sharing the User Guidelines and inviting feedback. I've added my comments in bold within the quoted text. As always, these are only suggestions. It's the site's text and should reflect a sensibility and tone that you & the owners deem appropriate. Thanks for taking this into consideration.

    Bob,
I really like the direction in which you've moved the text.

Thanks, Bill. I'll take them on board.

Glad you approved - a slightly different direction to what some are used to. Facilitators guidelines coming next, but I've spent all today doing legal stuff forming the Foundation.

No, we're recruiting insects to do all our work. You get millions of them and they work for free.

Looks good so far! I have two suggestions.

First, I didn't see any language that explicitly states that users grant the Foundation the right to use the user-supplied content to actually provide the service (i.e. display photos, resize photos, display comments, etc.). This is pretty standard language for any site that hosts user-supplied content. Flickr has a pretty good version on their Terms page (www.flickr.com/help/terms - third paragraph of Section 6. User Content).

Second, and perhaps you've already thought of this, but once you are happy with the Terms it would be money well spent to consult with an attorney to make sure the Terms are legally acceptable. In the rare event that someone brings a lawsuit you will have a much stronger case if you can say your attorney reviewed and approved the Terms rather than saying you and a bunch of internet strangers reviewed and approved the Terms.

    It's there, under 'your content':

Also, if you select the part of he post you want to quote, a popup lets you quote that text and start a reply with one click.

I know I am not alone in appreciating all that you and the rest of the team has done, is doing and will be doing! Also really pleased to see these updated user guidelines. They are excellent. Thank you!

I like what I have read but I had to do some searching to find the "rules of the road" for this forum. Is it going to be made more easily accessible, say at the top of the webpage where Home, Forums, Thread and Users currently reside?

Yes, we will be making it more visible along with our privacy and GDPR documentation. Possibly at the bottom rather than the top of the page (after all, you only want to read it once!)
