A very nice close up with sharp and crisp detail. Maybe a bit close to the rear end but we can live with that... 😄

I thought he was from the lacewings family but no he's a crane fly.

I just happened to see a lacewing earlier today... It was so dark under that leaf I couldn't initially get focus and never quite got it with spot metering...

A nice scene, and a good combination of colors of the protagonists and the background. The presence of the reflection is another incentive...

    Good catch!
Lacewings are interesting critters. One of the family here:

It seems incredible, but working with such a shallow depth of field, even the snails move too fast 😂

Really neat image. Kind of throws the viewer off seeing a fly in mid air without moving wings. I like it.

Colors of shell look nice with the surface he's on. If not subject movement it's always the wind :).

You're right. I didn't know how uncomfortable the wind was until I started shooting macro 😀

You captured lots of subtle colors in his shell. The soft lighting helps and is very nice.

Thank you very much barondla, I'm glad you like it. These families of bugs are not usually particularly appreciated, but the truth is that some specimens are very attractive.
And, by the way, I thought I had posted this image in the new thread dedicated to macro...
