He looks very similar to our A. Tiger. Similar colour eyes that are not as large relative to the rest of the head and similar black stripes on the thorax except ours has a few more. Is he a clubtail? Do you know his common name?

The one we know around here as the "tiger dragonfly"—with more intense yellow coloring and more distinct stripes—is this other one, belonging to the genus Cordulegaster…The one in the original post is paler and, according to Google, belongs to the genus Gomphus...

sneaky webs
...this isn't as impressive as many of the fantastic macro photos here, but thought you might find it interesting anyway.
On my lawn there are obviously many spiders, all close to the ground with their webs spun between the blades of grass. They are practically invisible,... until the morning sun catches the dew drops on those sneaky webs. -
It creates a truly beautiful effect—they look like tiny glass beads. It is also a fascinating sight on winter days, when the early morning mist lifts and the low sun illuminates the spider webs hanging from the bushes, laden with tiny pearls of dew—much like the ones you’ve shared with us...
