I am ashamed to say that, while the USA doesnt start the Christmas season until after Thanksgiving, and quite rightly so in my opinion, here in Vienna celebrations are well under way, with the opening of many Christmas (or Advent) Markets and the turning on of the illuminations this evening, including Chirstmas trees.

Let's see how many different photos of public Christmas trees we can assemble in this thread.

I start off with the tree in Stephansplatz, by the cathedral in the centre of Vienna (Austria). We have several others here, which I shall visit in due course.

Wow you are early.

We did buy Christmas decorations in Salzburg in August, and my wife was interviewed by Austrian radio, who were doing I suppose a funny news item, whilst we were choosing the painted egg Christmas tree decorations. We still have them along with the Angel I brought back from Spain.

Here in Italy we do Cribs (Presepe) and the Christmas tree is frowned on in some quarters.

Here's a Christmas tree in a small town in Oregon. It was the first day that it was lit up. I took it yesterday, as soon as there were less people after the lighting ceremony.

I don't live in a town or city so there is no entity to put up a public tree. A park in the nearest town will put one up after Thanksgiving but we must get the turkeys and pilgrims out of the way first. So here is the tree at the indoor sports facility where my grandsons play futsol. I suspect the Trinidadians who own the facility are not that into the pilgrims and turkeys.
