In that case, DoF and diffraction may be an issue. Say shooting at 1.5 m with 110 at f/8, DoF will be very short for say 0.003 mm CoC and diffraction would be around 4.4 microns FWHM.
Opening up increases resolution but decreases DoF while closing down aperture reduces resolution for gain in DoF.
Personally, I'd love to see a new 150 MP. I wonder, though, would a new sensor be 150 MP or would they double it to 200? I suppose that depends on just what other sensors they'd be making off the same basic design.
Regardless, any such means y'all upgrade and then I can pick up a used 100s for less. :)
CFe type A is too expensive, Sony is playing monopoly, though Angelbird recently released some. Industry standard is now Type B, except Sony going for Type A, just like they did with memory stick.
After Fuji released with the X-S20 an system which is using the 4th generation sensor and the 5th generation processor and hearing not really any rumors about a next generation MF sensor we my see end of the year a new GFX100 II with the same 100MPx sensor 5 Gen processor and integrated file Transmitter ( like the one we know from the X-H2S / X-H2).
