Hey, you literally said “Event photographers are not artists, per se.” Word for word!!!!! Don’t try and drag me into fault without any reason whatsoever for your words!!!!!!! Sort yourself out ffs!!!!!

Yes Jim we get it, you are clever and have to be right all the time. And you’re getting a bit frustrated now folks ain’t forced to buy it.

I don't buy any of that. You are saying that there is a conflict in what SrMi said. The words used mean that there isn't. He's saying that merely being a photographer doesn't make you an artist. Not that complicated, or controversial, I would think.

Saying that event photographers are not artists is a pretty conclusive statement, no matter how you try and dress it up. If it walks like a duck, looks like a duck and quacks like a duck…….. it’s a duck……….

You are ignoring two important words.

Yes, not far from the Georgia O'Keeffe museum. IDK if it's still there; the person at the gallery said something about it moving to Arizona. I'll have to see next time I'm in Santa Fe.

Yep. It's in Tucson now. They had quite a wonderful collection, and would bring anything out of storage if you asked to see it.

My words were clear. You did not understand what they mean and are now trying to dig yourself out. Just let it be. Let's talk about art and what it means to you.

this is a quick 2min image of a dance teacher from a dance photoshoot waiting for the next young dancer to arrive . event photography can be not so boring and touch on the arty side.

i know where your coming from. but on several occasions on DPR forum i would post an image as a response and quite often get banned for as the mods would say "belittling the op" and a few will just call you a smart a....s so i rarely post an image now and defiantly not give out my web and social sites links. But these forums are defiantly lively that's for sure.

Hi Jim, back to the original thread. i revisited the the raw program but this time i turned on uncompressed raw and the exif data said 14 bit . i usually use compressed raw and even though the file say 14 bit it also says pixel depth 8 bit , im a bit 😁confused now converting the raw again in pure 14 bit to tiff 16 bit im still getting clipping ! why ? and comparing the uncompressed to the compressed they is NO difference at all in the final image from both raw digger and ACR but ACR does not clip the white. any ideas ?

Did you even try moving the exposure slider in your editor over to the left a bit? RawDigger is more a diagnostic tool, not an editor/processor. The editing still needs to be done in Lightroom/ACR or whatever you use…
