"Ranked Posts" Are Stuck Again

After the Ranked Posts were "unfrozen" two days ago,

they are stuck again while the total posts continue to update daily. The screenshot below was taken a couple of minutes begore this post

The ranked posts here, which I believe relate to posts made within the last 30 days, have been updated manually at random (if and when) times since the formation of this website.
At least that's what I have observed...😊

That is not my observation. Since the "Big Bang" for dprevived until about 2 weeks ago both the total and ranked posts were updated at least once per day, or at least mine was.

It's not a big deal but since the member "rankings" are based on the ranked and not total posts, if the ranked posts are not updated then the "Users" page may as well be removed alltogether. Or at least remove the ranked posts column and just display users in alphabetical order with their total post count.

Yes, in the first few weeks they were updated daily, or every other day.
But... as you have mentioned, the page is no longer updated regularly.

tbh... I rarely look at it now. lol

I started paying closer attention when I saw I was sitting on top of the pile which I found "scarey" and as I mentioned in my original thread 2 days ago it probably isn't a good look for dprevived having me on top of the list.

At least now a more appropriate and worthy member has the top spot :-)

I wouldn’t think that too many people look at that page every day, or at least, they shouldn’t.
Cuttin’ season is here (boo) and I’ve got lawns to mow. lol

If it is a cron job controlling the updating of the ranked posts then it is just as easy to set the time interval to hourly, daily, weekly, monthly or whatever.

Imo daily or every second day would be the most appropriate.

Yep, totally agree but as I mentioned earlier I started paying more attention to it when I saw I had "top billing" 😲😧

Ah. I see now. Under 'users'. Just a post counter. I figured Users was a list of everyone, so I never looked. Now I see it's a post count for the top 50.

I was thinking there was a counter somewhere showing how many 'likes' one had in a list. But only after I saw this thread.

I see I'm in the list somehow. I'm not into posting all that much. But the site is young still. I'll drop off soon enough! ;)

I guess it matters not that the counter gets stuck (to me).
