Photo of the week(PoTW) competition - Introduction.

I am wondering if it might work better if it was photo of the week?

Yes that was my reasoning for the suggestion. Even us old farts are developing short attention spans... 😉

Or 15 days, twice a month. Would perhaps be ideal.

Or 14 days. Then it could start / finish on the same day each fortnight - easier to follow...

reasoning on a >running forum< It should be a fresh pic, say max 15 days old.

There is no real idea to say "Of The Week" if everybody participates with a 6-month-old photo.

If you think the Name is the issue...
You may change that to "weekly competition" and everybody will post the same old pics on and on....
....for 52 weeks per year.

I think this condition could reduce the number of participants and the quality of the photos. I just want to see good photos, I don't care if they're a week old, a year old or ten years old.
If I take part, I guarantee it won't be with photos I've already published on Dprevived.

Then change the name to "Weekly Competition"

It would be good if in this winner announcement post in addition to picture is also link to competition thread, then it will be easier to find the competition if someone is interested in such retrospective.
