    Hi!
This is a composite image: one long exposure, low iso for the ground, shorter and higher iso for the sky, and one more for the bike lights.
And this time, the bike stands upright ;-)

Interesting picture and process ... I was wondering how you're using the bike and ground files .. Are you painting the bike in? ... It will be interesting to see where you take this process in the future ...

    Hola!
I will try to explain it with this other image:

    IMG_6367.jpeg

First, you need the base image: it can be a single exposure, or one for the ground (long exposure, low iso) plus another (or others) for the sky (shorter exposure, higher iso to avoid star trails). And BIKE LIGHTS OFF.

    IMG_6366.jpeg

Now, bike lights ON, and expose for the lights:

And finally, in PS, base layer plus bike lights, layer in lighten/screen blending mode...

    ........

Thank you for the explanation .... I'll have to create a pair of files and try that .. my thought was that you would have to create a mask for the bike layer, invert the mask and then paint back the part of the layer you wanted in the picture .... at least that would have been my first attempt to duplicate the effect ...

Doctor, I agree with you it should be called an image. Although, it's difficult for me not to call a photo a photo. Also, keep up the great work you are doing!
