About the Ricoh RDC2, there was a website called StevesDigicams, com, which some of you may remember,

Yes, Steve's Digicams was one of the first sites on camera equipment.
It is true that the Ricoh at that time had a good reputation for macro photography ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Your camera history is fascinating, Thanks for sharing! I also had a brief history with your Casio QV10,

I never thought about digital images until 1995, when I started a web site for our car club, I used a scanner to get film pix into our website, A member turned up with a Casio QV-10 in the summer of 1996, I got to use it briefly. I didn't realize til today that it was the first digital camera to have a rear LCD, Nonetheless, I continued to use 35mm film with good lens. Digital wasn't ready yet,

Two shots from 1996. Back then, we were using EGA/VGA monitors, and I think they look better on modern screens?

I also loved the Coolpix 900 you showed us. That was my second digital camera. I'll have to go find it and see if it still OK, I wasn't aware of your sample shots, Those are amazing.

    Hi,

What does it use? WORM memory? Meaning you can only write to it one time. Read it all you want after.

No, it has this great invention: a delete function. It just does not have a port or removable media

I have been enjoying this threadโ€”lots I didn't realize or completely forgot. My first digital was an Olympus C2020 purchased for $750 in late 1999. Not a bad camera for the time, and I even did a business portrait or two in the studio with it. 2mp. Interesting to see how far that camera and come from the ones just a couple of years previous.

Yes, the Olympus C-2020z was an excellent digital camera in its day.
