Learning about Sony bodies

I'm hoping someone can point me towards a website or two where I can learn more about Sony's bodies and their evolution.

Here's why: I was gifted a couple of older Sony A mount lenses and I plan to get an older used body for those. I shoot with another system but I'm always interested in learning about other systems.

I've been googling but haven't really found a good site that takes the user through the evolution of Sony bodies. I see Sony has A mount and E mount bodies; some are FF/some are APSC; some are mirrorless, etc. And they have so many.

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Congrats on your new lenses!
Basically A mount is the older mount, e-mount the newer.
E-mounts are all mirrorless. The nex's, a5xxx's and a6xxx's are all apsc bodies, the A7's and A9's are FF. You can mount an E-mounts apsc lens on both and a FF (FE)lens on both but an apsc lens on a FF body will give you a cropped image.
