I just picked up a J1 along with the 10mm-30mm lens, battery and charger, for a little under $67 at shopgoodwill.com. I know there is a adapter for F mount lenses but is there an adapter for Z mount lenses, or is that not physically possible? I still do have some AF-S and AF-P F mount lenses that I can use with the J1, but at some point will likely sell most of my full frame F mount lenses.

    That's what hooked me into the N1 world - a J1 with 10-30 on Craigslist in 2018.

Get the Nikon FT1 adapter if you want to use your existing AF-S and AF-P lenses so you get auto focus, metering, and VR if the lens has it. There are cheap adapters that will handle the physical connection but don't support the electronic connection if you just want to play around with the DX or FX lenses.

We can end up with a certain imbalance, but the results can be surprising.

    The Sigma 135mm f/1.8 DG HSM ART turns into a 364.5mm f/1.8 on my little Nikon 1 J5 :)

Wow. Great deal on that. I wouldn’t say no either!

Great photos! Yes, the 2.7 crop factor should be interesting to play around with, especially with a lens like the Nikon 70mm-300mm AF-P.
