I saw this tonight under the bird feeder, about half past six so almost dark
I think its called a house mouse, although i've seen holes in the grass where it / they live. according to google a house mouse is uniform brown, this is white underneath so any ideas on what it is ? Body was 40-50mm

Its a deer mouse. The ears are a little larger than a house mouse, eyes are larger.
Thanks Fred, but I should have mentioned in the uk.
According to Merlinator on dpr the pics do seem to tally with what we call wood mouse, long-tailed field mouse, field mouse
