Found Feather

Small painted feather found in my garden the other day. Maybe part of an art project.

W. Eugene Smith often talked about he likes the light to "come out of the dark" often comparing this approach to the use of minor keys in Jazz,
R&B and other musical genres. This is a very interesting image and shows what Smith was saying.

I'm actually a fan jazz and Smith. Just playing playing around with a speedlight to explore direct light and deep shadows. Lots to learn.
