Elinchron One

Hello,
I’m considering these strobes for family portraits and would like your opinion if you have them or any other Elinchron strobes. Thank you.

Coming from a huge Elinchorm fan, consider these:
pair of Flashpoint 200 Pros with dual mount adapter

I have nine Elinchrom strobes, ten Elinchrom modifiers and reflectors, and many other modifiers adapted for the Elinchrom mount. But my experience with Flashpoint (Adorama's house branded Godox products) has been extremely positive and I primarily use them over the Elinchroms now because of the convenience of battery power. They're just too damn good for the price. I have two Flashpoint Evolv 200 Pro's and two Flashpoint Explor 600 Pro's.

Yes, the Godox AD200 Pro is the same as the Flashpoint Evolv 200 Pro.

I was so impressed with the 200 Pro's, that I decided to go ahead and get a pair of 600 Pro's and use these four lights as my go-to strobes.

Do you like the 600s? I might try the AD400.

They are very similar flash units, with the 600's having about half a stop more output with a fixed Bowns mount. The 400's can switch between Godox, Bowens, and Elinchrom mounts with adapters.

I have some big modifiers, Elinchrom 59" indirect and six 7-foot umbrellas, so decided to go with the slightly more powerful flash units. Honestly, I could have been equally happy with the 400's. Worst case scenario with the 400's, in very rare situations, I might have had to bump ISO to 200.

I'm not happy about it. LOL! I need to sale some of this stuff. It's taking up way too much space. Unfortunately, the only way someone can really know what they will prefer to use is to get everything, experiment with all of it, then decide on what you intend on keeping/using.
