And it is April 12 in Asia, up to this moment, DPR is still working normally... 🤔

What is going on there? Amazon keeps it open secretly?

The site is remaining while they archive it. It could take a day…or a week…but eventually, it’ll get locked up.

The Titanic set sail on April 10, 1912.
It actually sank on the night of April 14-15.

They announced in an update a few days ago, the archiving process is continuing, they may still publish some more articles, and mods were advised that the forums may continue to operate in the meantime.

At the moment, there is no new date for the closure but it seems it is effectively postponed.

Reading between the lines of the latest update it appears the dpreview forums have been granted a last minute temporary stay of execution.

"We’ve also heard that you need more time to access the site, so we’re going to keep publishing some more stories while we work on archiving."

I signed off for the last time last week and won't be going back there 😊

I not quite sure what to make of it. Their statement leaves some interpretation in it. Regardless, if they do remain open, they will see a drop in traffic.

True. It is rather ambiguous at this point. I still think it’s dead….and for me, it is regardless

I’ve never had a bad experience over there and found it to be very resourceful.

DPR by far is still very active there until now. Higher traffic than the few I joined recently.

I start to forget it will close down anytime soon.
