    These may look like "angry beasts" but the highlanders do have a friendly nature, but keep a save distance when there are young calves.
    The "Mothers" can be very protective and you don't want 500 kg/1100 lb to about 800 kg/1800 lb charging at you.....

    What a cutie and a good picture of it. 😍
    We have them here in Sweden too, would you believe. But they aren't usual.

    I like them for their looks, and they can be funny and cool to when they are used to you being close 😁
    The highlander cattle can handle the colder temperatures without many problems, believe they can handle it almost just as good as various arctic animals 👍

    I got to pat one once. It was almost like a dog. How's their milk? Or are they only breaded for the meat?

    In the Netherlands they are mostly used in nature reserves to maintain the reserve and for the meat

    Nope, but have visited the highlands a few years ago, and love to go back again.
