Every so often, the site stops responding and pops up a warning at the top of the page to do with CSRF.
Up 'til now I've been fixing that by closing the site and reconnecting - inconvenient because I lose my place and have to redo whatever I was up to, grump.
Today I found that pushing the reload icon or whacking 'F5' stops the stupid message coming up ('til the next time) and lets me continue what I was doing.

I've never seen that. Does it happen at any particular time of day? And where (roughly) are you accessing the internet?
I use FF myself.And it seems to be OK from the UK and Barbados.

Last time I saw this happen was many months ago, then deleting site cookies helped.
Can you relate this message to some your previous actions? Like you have had post editor open for long time or something similar?

Sorry, Arvo, I can't really correlate the event to previous action. It doesn't bother me much, specially now when a quick click makes it go away.

Windows 7 market share is about 3 percent currently. I seriously doubt anyone will search for zero-day exploits for this almost non-existent segment (at least for widespread attacks - agencies and directed attacks are quite different things).
Another reason to upgrade will be possible incompatibility with current software (this is why I once upgraded to W10 - our ID-card software required W10; also browsers are dropped or dropping support for W7) - but if everything works, then there is actually little reason to upgrade.
Yes, there is no more support for Windows 7. My security is handled by Norton 360 DeLuxe.
