Acadia stream

a quiet stream in Acadia N.P. so many places to shoot.

Very nice. Where are the tips, since I'm scheduled to be there in a few weeks?

the "tips" were referring to help on how to post that a couple of members gave me. sorry. tip for acadia?? if doing bass harbor lighthouse, get there at least an hour before sunset so you can get a good spot. it got crowded getting out on the rocks to get the decent photo.

also selectman's bridge is an iconic morning shot. again, get there early since it's just off the road and the iphone crowd will be gathering.

Where did you take that photo, if I may ask?

We were in Acadia many years ago and I had a great spot on the rocks for the lighthouse. When the light was getting good, someone got into my shot on a closer rock. The hazards of popular spots.

The NP website suggests there's lots of mud and some road closures. Was that your experience? Was it a problem?

i don't remember. i was on a photo workshop oct. of 2018 and was just following our leader. i do recall it was a paved hiking path walking about 20 minutes....near a cool cobblestone bridge. sorry i can't be much help. we went in the prime fall season and it was busy in town...bar harbor. what made it busy was huge cruise ships made a stop there, letting off hundreds of passengers. in that season, dinner reservations will help.
