I've been meaning to get out and take photos in my wife's garden the past few days.
The few roses she has are doing great and there are lots more interesting things blooming, but it's been VERY windy, so I took this quick shot and went looking for birds. I guess the wind made them hunker down in the dense foliage as I wasn't very successful with that either.

I did get a fairly decent dragonfly photo though.

I like these .. roses tend to be tricky as I find that red is very sensitive to exposure and light and roses tend to pick up and reflect the blue of the sky .. at least ours do …. so the color here is great .. the depth on the dragonfly is more than I would have expected with 400mm … and I can't identify him! …. who is he? ..

Google Lens claims it's a Common Baskettail.

I like that rose, Jim. I tried to identify the color and came up with fuchsia. A nice catch on the dragon fly. I see them but they see me, too. I can't catch them. Rich
