    Hi David, Thank You.

The Camera used was a Canon EOS 7D Mark II and the lens Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD

My error the photos were taken in August and I thought they were on an earlier shoot I'd been on in Etherow CP during spring.

    Details of photos below.

Here's the old guy that didn't make it to the rivers this year. (Aperture f/7.1 <> (SS): 1/500 <> ISO 8000 <> FL: 600mm <> Lens: Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD <> Camera ID: Canon EOS 7D Mark II).

    and here's a female Mandarin (Aperture f/7.1 <> (SS): 1/500 <> ISO 8000 <> FL: 375mm <> Lens: Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD <> Camera ID: Canon EOS 7D Mark II).

Thanks for the details. These are excellent photos! You should enter them in the photo of the week competition!

Yesterday I bought a Leica Q3 to complement my Canon R6. There isnt much light here at the present time, but I was out today trying to get used to the different interface. I dont have all the settings right yet.

Some of you may remember the series I did back in June of the wartime flak towers in the Augarten Park here in Vienna.

This is another of the six towers, this time deep in the city. It has been adapted to make an aquarium. (I confess that I have not been inside yet.)

This shows that I shall still be using the Canon to get the perspective right in cases like this. (In fact, with the shift lens I could probably do a better job on the earlier photos!) Watch this space.

    David,

Wow...that's a quite remarkable camera. So now you will be able to take 60mp photos.

    Hi Digi!

Yep! That gives higher resolution, and even when the files are made smaller, as the one above, the quality is still there. And, of course, I can crop more than with a 20MP sensor.

As I said, there are some things that are suited more for the R6 with its range of lenses and some that are suited for this fixed lens 28mm camera. I now understand why the Canon L series of lenses are so expensive!

Beautiful shots Digirame, there's a nice sliver of reflection in some of them.
The "re-saturated" edits look great, I think.
I think the Olympus shot is the best, though.
Hope you get on well with the RP.

    Dunlin,

Thanks...glad you liked the autumn colors. The Canon RF lens might arrive today or tomorrow, so I can test out the Canon RP camera. I've never owned a camera with that high of a DXOMark ISO score. With full frame the depth of field will be different, so I have to account for that.

    Steve,

It must be cold and dry. Are you expecting stormy weather? We had some rain, but it was nice where I live today too.

    Hi Dunlin, Thank You.

We got a nice bit of Sun at times, then the clouds moved in later in the afternoon.

    Dig,

No. Where I live, it's cold and damp right now. Temps in the 40's. Everything cold and gray. The kind that gets in your bones.

There is serious snow in Austria and southern Germany today. Vienna, in the eastern part of the country has been let off lightly; but I havent seen this much snow here in years. And, as you can see, it is still coming down... (I should have cleaned the windows weeks ago!)

The comparison of the last two is better when they are enlarged.

The snow has now stopped and it will soon be dark...

Today's the coldest day of the year here so far, nothing like what you've got David (=no snow), but it's the first day I've noticed frost persisting throughout the day.

    David,

Enjoy the snow. Thanks for sharing with us the pictures. Our weather forecast is saying we could have heavy rain and snow with some flooding possible in the next three days. The snow will only be in the mountains and won't reach the valley floor.
