Some beautiful shots, Jacob. Iceland looks like a landscape photographer's paradise.

Thanks Erik! Yes, it is a paradise, I miss it already...it was on my bucket list for some time; covid interfered in 2020 but worked out quite good last year.

I've been shooting these turkey vultures for two years, and finally got one in decent focus (thanks to Morris' settings) with nicely backlit wings

Indeed you did! They are plentiful where we live and I've tried in the past but this is quite good!

    Ulrik-
Another nice set. I like the more relaxed feeling/smile of the 7th one and the environmental feel of the second to last one. The empty seats almost seem to add something on that second to last one.

Edit- was trying to reply direct to Ulrik's post, but it ended up at the end (for the moment). Still learning. =)

    Osprey v Peregrine Falcon

I had just finished photographing the tree swallows at the Marine Nature Study Area in Oceanside, Long Island, NY and spotted something out of the corner of my eye. I looked up and saw what appeared to be two osprey riding the currents very high in the sky and dog fighting. I took photos as it was interesting behavior. As they started to get lower I realized that one was a falcon and as the osprey came down, falcon stayed up till it made a full speed dive buzzing the osprey that turned to avoid the attack. If the falcon wanted, it could have taken the osprey out of the sky. With the osprey out of it's way the falcon made two passes near me one very close and super fast.

Excellent work. I definitely have a thing for ice lagoons, and very much enjoyed visiting this one during our trip to Iceland last year. The last image with the flowers would be my fave. Very nicely captured!

Thank you indeed Morris, the sky was cloudless, so that night was all about colours and lines and trying to find something interesting 🙂
