I think it was Roel who mentioned last week that playful processing needs to have a reason for being (will go find that exact quote shortly). The curvy beach with shadow detail and the sharp lines & colors of the left side figure grab my attention immediately.

Then I see the identical triplets (sailboats) in precise military formation, which further emphasizes the fanciful nature of the image. I love the aqua-colored details on the stylish and self-confident left side figure vs. the drab attire of the one who doesn't like to draw attention to himself. Each looking out of the frame suggests their reasons for being there are as opposite as their personalities.

Your storytelling photos with richly written accompaniment are a powerful combination. As much as I have loved all your photo-only artistic dam birds these past seven years, I think a book or exhibit showcasing your creative writing skills would be awesome.

Like your shot. Very peaceful. To me it's a city vs country image. Very intriguing electrical towers - some look like a sailing ship masts(on the left), but to me the ones on the right are most interesting since they resemble elbows. The extreme right with "x" is captivating too. Great backdrop with the sky and fading sunset. Excellent.

There is a lot happening here...

I don't remember seeing peas with stalks. May be, never looked close enough to notice the stalks.
For that reason, it was not obvious to me.

Reminded me of a time when a goose was hit on one of the busy roads in my town. A big flock of geese gathered (I'd say few dozens).

That stalled the traffic for a while. The police had to work hard to get them off the road. I think they moved the dead goose first, IIRC, and the flock followed.

I wonder whether their conversation should be called a dialog or a monologue.
Sometimes, it's like that between two people :)

Continuing with my B&W experimentation.

I felt that the B&W would go well with the 25th Anniversary theme... vintage feel.

If the purpose was to show the cupcakes by themselves, then they are actually colorful.

Charming subjects for your thinking-outside-the-cupcake box experiment! If the evidence hasn't been eaten, or if you have the opportunity to do another shoot like this, I'd love to see close-ups of just a few. I tried cropping to get six or nine and what is revealed are the swirly shapes and repeating patterns, with a nice tonal range.

With fewer in the photo, I think you'll still retain your desired "vintage feel."
