Warblers in my yard

The warblers were really active in our yard this morning.
They are so small and were so high up in the trees, I usually had no idea what I was photographing.
After processing, I find I got shots of 7 6 different species, 4 3 of which were new adds to my life-list.
These include the: Cape May Warbler (M & F), the Black Poll Warbler, Nashville Warbler and the Tennessee Warbler.
I also got shots of the Yellow Rumped Warbler, the Palm Warbler, and the Yellow Warbler;
as well as a Common Yellow Throat, Red Eyed Vireo, Nuthatch, and Red Bellied Woodpecker.

This looks like a (female?) Nashville Warbler.

Could be. Merlin said it was a Common Yellow Throat, but, I'd rather take the win for another species!
Google Lens agrees with you that it's a Nashville Warbler.
Now how do I get Merlin to recognize it so I can add it to my life-list?

I don't know how you're identifying your birds with Merlin (showing it a photo?), but I have added birds using the manual, step-by-step identification id. To quote them: " . . save a bird in Merlin if you confidently identified it through the Photo ID, Step by Step, or Sound ID tools."

You already know what you want to list. Use the step-by-step method, fudging the parameters if necessary to get Nashville Warbler, and click "That's my Bird". I hope I've got this right; haven't used it in a while.

When I'm reviewing the photos I've taken with my Olympus on the computer, I use Merlin's photo ID on my phone, taking a picture of the bird on-screen to ID it. (Sometimes I've used this technique in the field taking the phone photo of my camera's display).
Usually works great. Sometimes Merlin misidentifies it, or can't identify it from that photo. I could use your method (that's how I originally started with Merlin) but photos seem easier. So the method I used following my above question was to ID my photo using Google Lens, then use it's stock picture in Merlin photo ID to get Merlin to accept it. Pretty easy.

You definitely have a lot of different birds up there .. I just have those residet ones that come for breakfast and lunch most days .. and now and then a traveler ... Nice set ..

I enjoyed looking through this set, Jim. It's great to have a place where the birds come to you. I'm still looking for a place where I can find songbirds gathering. Rich

Now we have nice blue skies - and no warblers. Guess they've moved on.
