I looked him up too, Francis Bacon artist. Found lots of slightly unsettling portraits.

I see the connection. I've always been inspired by the works of people like Dave McKean and Sam Keith. I've jokingly described my style as a wannabe Bill Sienkiewicz. This Bacon guy would have loved photoshop.

I looked the band up on internet and also found a few photos of them. None of them came even close to how good yours are!
Yours are colourful, well composed full of that live action atmosphere and even have good interaction with the singer playing for the camera. -

I guess that these other photos are mostly made with phones and with bigger stages, where you can not get very close and have to shoot upward. That’s why I love to shoot in small rock clubs, as it is possible to get close and with low stages I can take shots almost at performer’s eye levels when raising my hand with camera up. And with obscure bands there is not much crowd either (which is shame from performer’s perspective) so I can move relatively freely in front of stage. -
