Note to myself: used "Insert Image" via imbed jpeg link, X4 size - 2.79MB

Beautiful. Worked well. I will need some help on embedding without linking to my Photo site.

Hi Bob. Thanks! So I tried both methods. The first one (using the 6-th icon from the left) allows you to insert an image from a different website where you use the "share" feature and create a .jpg link that you paste here. You can also indicate the desired image size. I tried that but I think the size gets ignored and a smaller image gets displayed (this is the one above this window). It also cannot be clicked on to get a larger picture.
The second method (using the last icon with the up-arrow) appears to offer more flexibility: you go to your hard drive and point to the file that you want to upload and click on it (providing that it is under 4 MB; you have the option to post a link to the file.
The image (or link) can be clicked on if you want to see a larger picture.
It is possible that I am missing something, but at this point I prefer the second method.

The difference between direct upload and uploading via Flickr.

    direct upload:

via Flickr (sharing the BB code)

Preview size is larger with the Flickr link.

I wish directly uploaded photos had a larger preview - would that be possible?

Why dose the photo post so small? It is 720 x 1080, sized to enjoy. Why the tiny photo that's hard to enjoy? Is there a way to make it bigger?

How did you post the image, Morris?

Virtually all of my posted images are sized at 350 dpi, with a max long side of 1600 dpi. To my mind, that makes them big enough to be seen well, but not too cumbersome. Mine also seem to show as quite small in the post, but when I click on them, they appear in a separate tab in the above size for good viewing, of someone is really interested enough to click on them. The images above were all posted from my hard drive.

I use Flickr as a hosting site - will now try to upload some pics from there and see how that works.

I have posted these two photos at "my" normal size for the web, which is 2048 px on the long side. Two things that I have noted:

    1. Clicking on the image opens it in a new window, where it is possible to zoom in.

    2. The EXIF data does not show up(?)

    Hello, again,

Since the upload process here has its own unique image display protocol and the site does not have (yet) image hosting capabilities, let's use this thread to test uploads and to help others who may have difficulties uploading. When I get a little time I will do just that. In the meantime, anyone willing to do so and share their success and/or difficulty are welcome to do so. Looking forward to many great images from your Fuji X cams!!!!

I can't hide my excitement for having the weekly thread continue in the near future :)

Here an image test from me. I told my cat what Amazon had done to DPReview. Immediately, he started contemplating methods of retaliation:

Hmmm..... this uploading methodology works in that I can post images with greater than 4MB.

BUT, when clicking on them, I get seem to get access to my entire "Photostream" on Flickr, both public and private. The private images are usually culled images that were automatically uploaded, but were not intended to be in the public eye. Not sure I like that at all.
