The attached photos were taken 50 years ago of childhood friend who I recently learned passed away unexpectedly. He was a talented surfer but also a true friend. I went through some old albums while sorting out the news . These shots were taken with a Kodak Instamatic in an Ikelite waterproof housing. I simply swam out into the lineup with fins and pressed the button. Blurry snapshots can still capture memories and the wonder of existence.
