How did you do these last ones?

These little ants are very restless. I attracted them with a small drop of honey placed on the end of a thin broken twig, in the natural setting of a climbing plant, where I photographed them from a reasonable distance (a few centimeters) with a Sony a6300 camera, a 200mm telephoto lens, Kenko macro tubes and two overlapping Achromatic macro lenses.
I used f:16 to obtain an acceptable depth of field.
The lighting required a powerful off-camera flash and a small photo umbrella, with a light dome effect.

What an assembly, a laborious process, no doubt.
The honey thing is a good idea, but I tried it with sugar the other day, and with a piece of banana today with little success. It seems my ants don't like sweet things. I'll have to try McDonald's or something from KFC...

Another little spider waiting for its chance.

A good capture, with good light, color and detail, with the focus on the eye. These are usually very restless, and are out of my reach unless I find them asleep...

Like the composition on this. The vertical petals make a very dynamic image. It almost looks like she is trapped behind bars.

Fantastic image. Very clean composition. Interesting about finding them on the same flower. Dragonflies definitely do that. They make a quick trip right back to their same perch.

They claim bug populations are in decline. Have you found this to be true?

Guess he walks around on the globes and uses the claws to grab plant stalks? Neat photo.
