A poppy seed attached to the tip of a toothpick by a drop of honey.

That is lovely - and weird at the same time.

Amazing. I've never seen a poppy seed up close.

    ¡Hola!
The "natural engineering" that surrounds us is amazing, and there's no doubt that macro photography can reveal details we wouldn't even imagine...
Your image looked familiar, and it brought to mind an image from a while ago: it's also a seed, and although much larger (like a pea), it shares that external grid structure. If you give me your approval, I can upload it here...

It would be very interesting to see the image you mentioned (even more).😀

Thank you all for the appreciation!

    There it goes:

I don't know exactly what it is, and this time Google hasn't been much help.
The image is a focus stack of five photos, and what caught my attention was the reticulated cover we were talking about, and the composite structure of the foot, as if it were a modern braided cable...

This is something really interesting! What size is it actually?👍
Maybe someone can help us identify it.

    That-s it!👍
But it seems to be a rarer type, hard to find.

Well, after refining the search a bit, it seems that this small ball (about a centimeter in diameter) is not a seed, but the core of an inflorescence, once it has shed its flowers and outer layers... 😮
