I've never handled an ILC Lumix. I'm partial to the "rangefinder" layout. It helps keep the nose off the screen. This model looks very similar to the Olympus E-300 I owned. The colors look better than the yellowish Sony example.

Two devices that are pleasant to use, but which also have one major flaw in my opinion: the lack of a viewfinder, which is so unpleasant in good weather!

Interesting. The Olympus looks like an art deco piece while the Lumix looks like a 1920's must have fashion piece - nice styling.
Always wanted an EP-1. Ended up with an EP-1L. Not as stylish but it has the extra hot shoe contacts for the Olympus tilting EVF eyepiece. Still use it once in a while.
Nice comparison. Didn't expect the Panasonic to be so much smaller. Would still like to get the almost Pentax Q size Panny some day.

Two cameras that did not go unnoticed in 2012
The two cameras were released only a few days apart.
Pentax is offering a new ML, which retains the K mount, but without a viewfinder!
Fujifilm, on the other hand, presents an ML with two viewfinders (EVF/OVF), the ultimate luxury.
I made a comparison between the two
Fujifilm X-Pro1 (2012) / Pentax K-01 (2012)
Personally, I like the look of the Pentax K-01 with its indestructible brick-like appearance.
But how unpleasant it is to take photographs on sunny days and have to compare them blindly...
The X-Pro1, on the other hand, offers everything; it's extraordinary to have the choice between EVF or OVF, for a 2012 camera.
But both cameras give very good results, it's up to you to judge.
