Local Wildlife

By no stretch of the imagination could I be thought of as a wildlife photographer. I didn't spend hours stalking this bird or waiting patiently in a hide for it to appear. I stumbled across it while out for a walk.
This is a Rock Pipit usually seen close to the sea.

I like this. Birds are more than BIFs. I like to see the environment and there's quite a lot information about the landscape in this photo. And a sharp looking little bird.

Your Rock Pipit is cute - I've never heard of one, much less shot it.
Charlotte is right - seeing it in the environment around it is nice when you have rock walls, cliffs, blue sky, cloud, and other scenic background ...

BTW I have a similar hairdo ATM. Every time when I've been to the hairdresser I rejoice and think I'll do this more frequently in the future. But I don't. And end up looking like a troll. 👹

I do like to sit here, drinking coffee, and watching the small birds stop by .. but wild life .... I rather meet that fellow in the picture than the one in your Avatar ..

I like this Dave. Taking bird pics is all very well but I much prefer an artistic cant to the photo...backgrouns, placement, colours.

I chose that avatar because it depicts a Scottish animal that is big and clumsy and not very bright. Seemed appropriate.😊
