For example, clicking the first image in this post and then clicking the right arrow to go to the next image results in seeing an image of cat fur from another post further down.
Now clicking back, expecting to go back to the originally opened one...nope! the other cat fur image.
Clicking several times forward and then going backwards does not reverse the same in a mirrored fashion. So far have not found any logic.

This problem is the 3 big images in this post are all the same. The users has falsity insert the same images three times.
My algorithm skips images already shown because of the quotes.
So it is just meant to work this way. ;-)

These images are not the same, still strange behaviour going forward and back not landing on the same image. e.g. start on the 3rd image with the blooming artefact at the left hand side railing, now go forward once and back once. You're not back at the image with the blooming. Huh? Now go forward again; cat fur image. Double huh?
(in my head when I go forward 1 step and take 1 back I should end up where I started, that's not happening here)
Or enlarge the 3rd image in this post and click back. You do not end up on the second image in that post.
Found the possible issue: It looks like the back button goes forward as well.
